The Arun Yacht Club (AYC) is a friendly,
informal sailing club located on the west bank of the river Arun. Its facilities include a large car park, secure dinghy pen,
moorings for approximately 100 cruisers, a dedicated training block
and a clubhouse with changing rooms for ladies and gentlemen. The
clubhouse boasts a galley, well stocked bar, and a large lounge area
(for specific opening times, click on Social). A balcony overlooking
the river is very popular during the summer months.
The AYC caters year-round for a wide
range of sailing interests, from the thrill of dinghy and
cruiser racing to the more relaxed atmosphere of organised club
cruises. We also hold frequent social events to suit all tastes. For
those embarking on the road to sailing proficiency, the club is an
RYA-recognised teaching establishment, and our training staff would
be pleased to discuss any aspect of training with you. The Club has
a vibrant family oriented atmosphere and encourages cadets to become
fully involved in club activities.
